Betty J Dickman

April 5, 1936 — July 14, 2016

Betty (Hueser) Dickman was born April 6, 1936 in Cherokee, Iowa, the daughter of Ben and Mildred (Pitts) Hueser. She graduated from Quimby High School in 1954. Betty married Lloyd Dickman on July 6, 1956 in Minnesota. They began their lives together in Quimby and later moved the family to their home in Kingsley in 1969. Her greatest joy in life came from being a mother and later becoming a grandmother and great grandmother. She also enjoyed working part-time at the Kingsley Nursing Home, where she later volunteered and spent the past 5 months as a resident. She loved to spend her time cheering on her grandchildren at a game, match, concert, recital, play or event where she always had a smile on her face. In doing this she also became Grandma Betty to all who came to know and love her. Betty enjoyed spending her time with her coffee, church and card club friends. Betty was a member of the Kingsley First Lutheran Church and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary of Kingsley. Survivors include seven children, Denice (Randy) Christoffel, Granville, IA, Donald (Burnie) Dickman, LeMars, IA, Donna Dickman and special friend Bill Theisen, Remsen, IA, Debra (Dave) Robinson, Kingsley, IA, Dixie (Mike) Wurth, LeMars, IA, Darla (Carl) Zellmer, Spirit Lake, IA, Dale (Tammi) Dickman, Spencer, IA. Eighteen Grandchildren Michelle (Andy) Hunsinger, Ryan (Marlee), Luke (Jen), Justin (Abbey) Christoffel, Heather (Marcus) Williams, Amber Dickman, Kendra (Dan) Gibson, Thomas (Shannon) and Travis (Brianna) Even, Jamie, Jarod (Heather) and Jordan Robinson, Nick Wurth, Nicole (Colton) Christoffersen, Adam, Andrew (Kelsey) and Addison (Claire) Zellmer, Bailey Dickman, three step-grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and eight step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Lester Hueser, Hubbard, IA, Bill (Roberta) Hueser, George, IA, Jerry (Jean) Hueser, Kearney, NE, one sister Peg Lewis, Creston, IA, one sister-in-law Margaret Hueser, Fallbrook, CA, along with two brothers-in-law, Leroy Dickman, Sac City, IA, Virgil (Melva) Dickman, Coon Rapids, IA, several nieces and nephews. She was survived by many special friends. Betty was proceeded in death by her husband Lloyd, parents Ben and Mildred Hueser, in-laws Waldo and Katie Dickman, two sisiters, Martha Anna Hueser and Jean King, two brothers Leland and Vernon Hueser and sisters-in-law Edna Heuser and Mary Dickman. Grandson Tyler Christoffel and great-grandson Coy Robinson.
