Carol Schoenherr

Carol L. Schoenherr, 76, of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Sunrise Retirement Community in Sioux City, IA.  A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the Grand Meadow Cemetery, rural Washta, IA.  

Carol was born January 1, 1943, Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Carl L. and Lela M. (Diller) Nafe.  She grew up in the Pierson, IA, area graduating from Pierson High School in 1961.  She married Harold L. Schoenherr on December 14,1961, in Sioux City, IA.   After their marriage Carol and Harold made their home in Sioux City, IA where they raised their family.  Harold passed away January 26, 2015, following his death Carol continued to live at their home until 2015 at which time she went to the Sunrise Retirement Community in Sioux City, IA. 

 Carol is survived by her son, Dan Schoenherr, Sioux City, IA, her daughter Becky (Brad) Thompson, Sioux City, IA, two grandsons, Josh and Austin Schoenherr, niece, Debra Pepple, Moorehead, MN,  5 grandcats Wally, Freddy, Chuck, Chachi, Piglet and her beloved dog, Tiny.
