Gregory M. Nairn

PIERSON, IOWA: Gregory Mark Nairn, 63 of Pierson, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley, IA. Visitation will begin at 12PM before the service with family present at 1PM. Gregory was born August 23, 1959 in Sioux City, IA, the son of Ronnie and Lillian (Saxen) Nairn. He grew up in the Pierson area attending the Kingsley-Pierson School. In 1976, he enlisted in the U. S. Army, following his honorable discharge he returned to the area where he lived and worked. Gregory enjoyed working at Bridgeport Materials in Sioux City, IA for many years. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast who loved going on rides with his friends. He never shied away from an adventure. He was particularly fond of riding out to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally whenever he had the opportunity. If he wasn't riding or working you could find him fishing and spending time with family and friends.

 

He is survived by his special friend, Karyn Salmon, brother, Jeffery Nairn and sister, Julie Chinn, nephews, Donnie Chinn Jr. and Ryan Chinn, nieces, Holly Blaylock and Kelsie Carlson, and good friend, Robert Lee.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronnie and Lillian Nairn.
