Kingsley, Iowa: Jack D. Clark, 84, of Kingsley, passed away at his residence, Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Jack Duane Clark was born February 18, 1928, the son of Frank V. and Bernice (Ridenour) Clark. Jack grew up in Kingsley graduating from Kingsley High School in 1946. After graduating from high school Jack served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 - 1948. After his honorable discharge from the Navy he returned to Kingsley where he worked in the family business, Clark's Hardware, for 55 years. Jack cherished his service calls that included coffee, cookies and chats. He married Phyllis Corkhill March 4, 1950 in Sioux City, Iowa. After their marriage, Jack and Phyllis made their home in Kingsley for the next 62 years. Jack was member of the Kingsley United Methodist Church, American Legion Nash Post #140, Lions club, Masonic Lodge and a former Kingsley town council member. His love of golf with family and friends gave him many happy memories. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Clark of Kingsley, Iowa, two daughters, Cathy Clark of Olathe, Kansas and Becky Clark and partner, Monique, of Boulder, Colorado, one son, Jeff Clark and partner, Deb, of Kingsley, Iowa, two sisters, Greta Corkhill of St. Louis, Missouri and Jan Mills of Surprise, Arizona, one granddaughter, Amy Blatchford and partner, Matt, of Sioux City, Iowa, and a great-grandson, Collin Blatchford of Sioux City, Iowa. Jack was preceded in death by his son, William "Bill" Clark, parents, Frank and Bernice Clark and two brothers-in-law, Bob Mills and Len Corkhill.
