Joshua Paul Sitzmann

Scripture service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Rohde Funeral Home , Kingsley, Iowa, with visitation following with family present until 4:30 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Gehlen Catholic School in LeMars, Iowa.Josh was born on April 22, 1974, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Emmett and Lucy (Clarey) Sitzmann. He graduated from Gehlen Catholic High School in 1992, after that he attended Iowa State University where he graduated in 1997 with a degree in history. He relocated to Houston, Texasa to pursue his teaching career, where he taught for 19 years. Most recently he was employed with Aldine Independent School District. He is survived by his parents, his siblings, Tom (Tammy) Sitzmann, Chris (Kendal) Sitzmann Paget, Rae Marie (Jeff) Seizys, Judy (Keith) Miller, Andrew (Yvette) Sitzmann, Tony Sitzmann, Vincent (Bernie) Sitzmann, Jeff (Missy) Sitzmann, Zach (Anna) Sitzmann, and Jake Sitzmann; 32 nieces and nephews, 12 grandnieces and nephews, and a special friend Claudia Martinez.Josh was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Sitzmann Harms, his maternal grandparents, John and Esther Clarey; and his paternal grandparents, Frank and Christina Sitzmann.
