Kingsley, Iowa; Margaret I. Ditter, 102, passes away Sunday, October 28, 2012 at the Kingsley Nursing and Rehab Center in Kingsley, Iowa. Margaret was born on November 2, 1909 in LeMars, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Margaret (Foley) Becker. As a small child she moved with her family to Farmer, South Dakota. She graduated in 1928 from Edgerton Consolidated High School in Farmer. Margaret and Arnold Ditter were united in marriage January 27, 1937 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Farmer, SD. Together they farmed in the Farmer area for 30 years. In 1967 they moved to Kingsley and formed Becker-Ditter Oil Co. and later becoming Ditter-Rolling Oil Co..Margaret enjoyed playing cards, sewing, crocheting and quilting. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Ladies Guild.She is survived by her children, Dietta Lassegard of Fremont, NE, Doris (Bob) Wygal of Mount Vernon, WA, Denise (Chuck) Duignan of Davidsonville, MD, David (Sharon) Ditter of Alexandria, SD, Dennis (Jeanne) Ditter of Mason City, IA, Donald (Wendy) Ditter of Redmond, WA, Douglas (Peggy) Ditter of West Chester, PA and Dale (Glenda) Ditter of Baxter, MN, one sister, Irma Burke of Topeka, KS. Nineteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Delvin, one son - in-law, five brother and two sisters.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Michael Catholic Church, 220 Brandon St., KNRC Activity Fund, 305 W 3rd St, Kingsley, IA 51028 or to the charity of choice
