Robert E. “Bob” passed away Monday, November 4, 2024. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2024, at Rohde Funeral Home, Kingsley, IA. Burial will be at Kingsley Cemetery with military rites conducted by U. S. Army and American Legion Nash Post 140 of Kingsley. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to funeral service. 

Bob was born August 20, 1941, in Woodbury County, IA to Myrna (Seller) and Russell Davis. Bob grew up in Kingsley, IA with his brother Jim and sister Karen, where he attended Kingsley-Pierson School. Bob enjoyed playing sports, especially baseball and football. He graduated from Kingsley - Pierson School in 1959 and soon after moved out to Denver, CO. While in Denver, Bob enlisted in the Army National Guard, and was moved out to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where trained and became an expert rifleman. While at Fort Leonard Wood, he was awarded and recognized for his marksmanship. After his honorable discharge in 1964, he moved back to Denver, CO. Bob was first married to his wife, Julie and they had a son Eric in 1965. Bob lived in Denver with his family before divorcing his first wife. His son Eric married and had three children, Austin, Ryne and Logan. Bob worked in Englewood, CO as a dry-cleaner, and then at a local bank while studying to become a real estate agent in Colorado. He married his second wife Sherry in 1969, and soon after that they took in Sherry’s younger sister Shannon. He raised her as a daughter. Bob and Sherry had the first of three children in 1975 when Jackie was born, followed by John and then Katie. Bob raised his family in Littleton, CO where he worked as a successful real estate agent. When he wasn’t selling houses,

Bob spent all of his time going to his kids’ sporting events, taking them camping, or going on road trips back out to Iowa and other states. Bob moved back to Kingsley, IA in 2009 to “retire”. While being retired, Bob was busy as ever in working real estate all over, from Kingsley to Sioux City. In his down time, Bob drove out to visit his family and grandchildren in Colorado several times a year. 

Bob is survived by his children, Eric Wagner, Muscatine, IA, Jackie Davis, Denver CO, John Davis, Littleton, CO, Katie Davis, Thornton, CO, as well as his grandchildren, Austin, Ryne and Logan Wagner children of Eric Wagner, Mya Bynum daughter of Jackie Davis, Caitlyn, Hannah and Jadon Davis children of John Davis, Alex Frey and Jacob Frey children of Katie Davis. Also surviving is his sister Karen (Ron) Carlson, Kingsley, IA as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Bob was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Sherry, parents, grandparents and brother Jim.
