Vivian E. GrubbKingsley, Iowa: Vivian Grubb, 91, of Kingsley passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at a Sioux City Hospital. Vivian was born March 10, 1921 in Hinton, Iowa, the daughter of Dona and Evalene (Robbins) Comeau. She grew up in South Sioux City, NE, graduating from high school there. She married Joseph Riley January 11, 1940. To this union four children were born. He passed away in October 1982. Vivian met Harlan "Joe" Grubb and they were married in November 1987. They enjoyed traveling together, dancing and being with their families. She loved crocheting, and shopping and, could always be found with crochet needles in her hands. Vivian liked to collect bird figurines, especially cardinals.Vivian worked in retail sales for over 20 years, retiring from Younkers. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and Ladies Guild sinceher move to Kingsley in 1987.Left to cherish her memory is her husband Harlan "Joe" Grubb, sons James (Peg) Riley, Jack (Diane) Grubb, Ron (Pat) Grubb, and John (Shelley) Grubb, daughters Mary (Walt) Hunt, Kathleen (John) Leach, Elaine (Cary) Schoep and Lynne (Jerry) Ruba, a sister, Dorothy Strickland. Grandchildren, Stacy (Bill) Wallace, Kelly (Steve) Eda, Joseph (Marianne) Kooker, Mindi (Jeramie) Barrett, Scott (Diana) Hunt, Anthony (Dasny) Hunt, Amy (Scott) Cole, Amanda (Jonathon) Brindle, Chris (Angie) Beeck, Elizabeth Beeck, Julie (Robert) Arnold, Michael Ruba, Jennifer Ruba, Jason (Kate) Grubb, Renee Grubb, Ryan (Amber) Grubb, Tyler Grubb, Nicole ( Nate) Nearman, Denise (Steve) Griebel, Dantelle (Ryan) Panowicz, and Jeff (Amy) Schoep. Great grandchildren, Lindsay Hernandez, Ian Riley, Riley Barrett, Gabriel Hernandez, Kate (Scott) Carpenter, Kendra Smith, Kari (Blake) Lefler, Nicholas , Jennifer, and Zachery Eda, Payton Kooker, Chelsea Bird, Christopher Hilligas, Allison, Renee, Matthew, Alvaro, Thomas and Isabella Hunt, Samantha, Nick, and Ally Beeck, Jordan and Miranda Arnold, Corinne and Delaney Griebel, Landon and Kenleigh Panowicz, Rebecca and Jessica Schoep. Three great great grandchildren, Colton, Sadie, and Charlotte CarpenterVivian was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Joseph Riley, two daughters Shirley Kooker, and Donna Beeck, brothers Vincent Comeau, and Vinton Comeau, half sister Mary Hill, and a grandson Mark Riley.
